What do we do?
PwC Service Delivery Centre (SDC) in Katowice is a new business unit that provides support to our Assurance engagement teams in the UK, Germany and CEE countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary). We are a part of chain of SDC located all over the world.
At the moment the SDC services include processes such as:
The scope and specifics of the processes may be different for supported countries.
Our future
SDC started work in autumn 2009; consequently it is a young and rapidly developing organisation. In June 2011 we employed approximately 180 individuals. In the coming years we will hire over 200 new people. In the future we intend to cooperate with other European countries and will also gain new audit processes, thereby we will increase development opportunities for our employees.
How does the SDC work?
We are focused on selected parts of the audit. Therefore the SDC staffs are involved in a large number of short projects (from several hours to a few days). We are based at our office in Katowice and do not have to travel to the client’s office. Our tasks require accuracy, very good analytical skills and ability to work as part of a team. Also very important is fluent knowledge of English and language specific for country that you work for.
Career path
In SDC we are focused on employees development by increasing their technical knowledge and also soft skills. Starting as an Associate, you will gain experience through completion of the processes, as you progress you will be assigned to increasingly difficult tasks. After promotion to Senior Associate you would be responsible for reviewing the work of Associates. As an experienced Senior Associate you can choose the managerial path or become a technical expert in the Quality Team.
