India being one of the most crowded places on earth is struggling with surveillance. But thankfully this might change with the drone technology. The Police in Bhubaneswar plans to implement drones in order to keep a watch on traffic movements and crowd during large gatherings from the sky.

"We have been using drones in Maoist-affected areas for aerial surveillance. We have decided to buy six drones to be used for crowd management, especially during large gatherings," said director general of police, K B Singh.

Although the police are planning to buy rather simple drones who are only equipped with a GPS and camera to provide real-time pictures, they still believe in the success of the project and hope for other cities to follow.
