Tomasz Kassel

Tomasz Kassel has nearly twenty years of experience in the field of VAT and excise duty. He is responsible for cooperation with the public sector in the field if Indirect taxation. Tomasz particularly specializes in developing solutions to improve the tax procedures and to minimise the tax risk. In addition, he is involved in creation and implementation of a strategy for dealing with disputes relating to the applicable law.

Moreover, Tomasz is responsible for tax consultancy for companies from the fuel industry and metallurgical sector. In recent years, within a framework of his technical expertise, he cooperated with many companies from fuel sector, being acquainted in detail with specifics of their business. He dealt with tax issues relating to privatization and merger of leading Polish companies producing and selling petroleum products. Tomasz also works with FMCG companies, advising them on, among others, all kind of marketing campaigns.

Tomasz joined PwC in 2000, he is a graduate of the finance and banking at the University of Łódź, is also a licensed tax advisor.

In 2021 Tomasz took the roles of a global PwC Leader of Indirect Tax Environmental Network as well as Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) Leader for PwC Poland. 

On 1 July 2022 he has taken over the role of Managing Partner of Tax, Legal & People.
