Paulina Komorowska-Mrozik

Paulina advises clients in matters relating to personal data protection, intellectual property, new technologies, e-commerce and competition and consumer protection laws.
She supports clients operating in various industries including, in particular, the new technologies sector and regulated sectors, such as the pharmaceutical, financial and insurance sectors. She also has extensive experience in managing multidisciplinary and multi-jurisdiction projects.
Paulina provides advice on all aspects of personal data protection, including reviews of compliance with the personal data protection requirements, development of documentation, negotiating data processing agreements, assessment of data transfer risk and mechanisms, whistleblowing, Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA), proceedings before the President of the Polish Data Protection Authority (UODO), incident assessment and reporting data protection breaches. She also has experience in proceedings relating to violations of the Act on the use of passenger name record (PNR).
Paulina supports clients in matters relating to intellectual property laws and IT, which includes negotiating agreements (relating to transfer of rights, licences, implementation, maintenance), preparing opinions concerning copyrights, reviews of intellectual and industrial property resources. She also advises clients with regard to cloud migrations and all aspects of providing services via electronic channels, including drawing up rules and regulations for the provision of such services, privacy policies and cookie policies.
Paulina is also experienced in providing advice on issues relating to competition and consumer law, which include preparing notifications of the intention of concentration, designing distribution models, analysing agreements restricting competition and abuses of dominant position, representing clients in the proceedings before the UOKiK President, during inspections and searches. She is also an expert on practices violating common interest of consumers, including unfair advertising.
She regularly provides training to clients and speaks at industrial and scientific conferences. She is the author of multiple publications and a co-author of a paper on personal data protection documentation and one of the leading comments to the Act on competition and consumer protection.
