Weronika Wojturska

Weronika Wojturska, lawyer in the Banking & Finance practice, expert in sustainable finance certified by the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, lecturer and research projects managers in the area of ESG and FinTech/InsurTech under the grant programs of the Polish Ministry of Education and Science (“Diamond Grant”, “Best of the best”).

In the area of sustainable finance, since 2021 she has co-authored a series of market guidelines developed in cooperation with the Polish Bank Association and the Chamber of Brokerage Houses, shaping the approach to changes in SFDR disclosures, non-financial reporting according to the EU Taxonomy Regulation and trading in financial instruments (MIFID II). In 2023 appointed as an expert by the Polish Ministry of Finance to support working groups on the application of the EU Taxonomy and on research, education and training within the Polish Sustainable Finance Platform. Contributor to the publication “Sustainable Finance for practitioners - obligations of companies under Polish and EU law” (C.H.Beck 2023) on non-financial reporting and the article on greenwashing which opens the report Green Finance in Poland 2023 (IOF, UN Global Compact Network Poland).

In the area of innovative financial services, she is the author of the monograph Cloud Computing Outsourcing in Polish Insurance Institutions. The publication is the first comprehensive study examining the use of cloud computing outsourcing in the activities of insurance companies on the Polish market; a commentary on the Capital Market Law (C.H.Beck 2022) in the field of outsourcing of investment companies. From 2023 she supports the development of the standard for implementation of the DORA Regulation in the Polish Insurance Association. 

Weronika is a laureate of Polish Ministry awards and grant programs for outstanding young scientists, including the “Student Nobel Prize” at the 10th National Competition for the Best Student of the Republic of Poland in the field of socio-economic sciences (2019), as well as the “Pro Juvenes” award in the category of outstanding student scientist at the 8th Student Environment Awards Gala of the Parliament of Students of the Republic of Poland (2020).
