13/04/18

PwC Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), the professional services firm, has announced that it will serve as Strategic Partner of the inaugural Emerging Europe Awards. PwC experts will contribute to the awards as jurors and will participate in the workshops and discussions leading up to the awards ceremony. The partnership will be led by Agnieszka Gajewska, PwC CEE Government & Public Sector Leader.

I’m very pleased that PwC has been invited to serve as Strategic Partner to the Emerging Europe Awards. We work closely with clients and stakeholders right across Central and Eastern Europe to build trust and solve important problems. There are so many great people, organisations and initiatives that are putting our region on the map -- and the Emerging Europe Awards will provide an important platform for giving them the recognition they deserve. We’re happy to be involved.

Agnieszka Gajewska, PwC CEE Government & Public Sector Leader

The awards are organised by Emerging Europe in conjunction with strategic partners the UK Department for International Trade and the Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe, and will be held at the London headquarters of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on 22 June 2018.

Emerging Europe is a London-based think tank committed to boosting the social and economic development of 23 countries of Central and South Eastern Europe and the Caucasus and raising awareness about the region. The Emerging Europe Awards have been created to build on their mission of fostering economic and social growth in the region. The awards are a high-profile, prestigious programme to recognise success stories, leading projects and best practice from CEE, encouraging thought leadership and excellence across 23 countries.

The awards will acknowledge local authorities and businesses which have demonstrated excellence in three main areas: raising awareness, social progress and economic development. The juries judging the submitted projects - including PwC experts - have extensive experience across a range of sectors and are supported by a dedicated team.

I am very proud that PwC has accepted our invitation to serve as Strategic Partner to the Emerging Europe Awards. PwC is recognized as a leading advisory firm in the region, and is well known for its efforts to develop the skills and expertise of the business community in CEE. I believe that their contribution to the process will further raise the profile of our project and be of great value to the participating entities.

Andrew Wrobel, Head of Content Strategy and Publishing at Emerging Europe

The Emerging Europe Awards has already attracted many excellent entries from across the region. The quality and diversity of the applications is a clear demonstration of the depth of talent and enterprise in CEE.
