The PwC Legal law firm in Poland awarded in the Chambers Europe 2020 ranking as a Recognized Practitioner for the Corporate/M&A practice

The PwC Legal law firm in Poland has been distinguished in the latest edition of the Chambers Europe 2020 ranking as a Recognized Practitioner for the Corporate/M&A practice. In addition, once again in a row, two lawyers of the law office received an individual distinction: Gerard Karp - for the practice of TMT: data protection and Jean Rossi - for his legal advice in the field of real estate.

The annual ranking, created by experts from the prestigious Chambers and Partners publishing house, is produced on the basis of a detailed survey of law firms and interviews with clients. The following factors are taken into consideration: quality of services provided, number of completed projects and timeliness. The ranking is one of the most important publications on the legal market.

In this year's Chambers Europe ranking PwC Legal in Poland was recognized for its practice law in the area of Corporate/M&A. As every year, lawyers from PwC Legal in Poland were individually distinguished in the ranking. Gerard Karp received a recommendation for the practice of TMT: data protection (Band 3), and Jean Rossi for legal advice for the real estate sector (Band 4).

Gerard Karp is a partner and leader in the practice of technology, media and telecommunications, intellectual property law and personal data protection at PwC Legal. He specializes in law relating to new technologies, in particular the protection of personal data, the right to privacy and various aspects at the interface of Internet law, IT implementations and the broadly understood digital market. He has extensive experience in advising clients from the new technologies, e-commerce and commercial industries, as well as the banking, insurance and pharmaceutical sectors. He has advised, among other projects, on innovative Big Data projects in the following industries: logistics, commercial and banking.

Jean Rossi is a real estate law practice leader at PwC Legal. Additionally, he is responsible for the French Desk at PwC. He advises clients on real estate acquisition and project financing. He actively participates in the life of the French community in Poland. Among other roles, he is the president of the Union des Français de l'Étranger and the Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur de la France.
