PRINCE2 Foundation
PRINCE2 Foundation is the basic certificate of the project management methodology. During a 3-day training course, you will master PRINCE2 principles, processes, and terminology that can be applied to large and small projects across various sectors.
The PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) project management methodology is one of the best-known project certifications. Course participants will acquire practical knowledge of methods as regards project activities.
Unlike other methodologies, this course does not require prior qualifications. It is open to all applicants looking for an effective way to systematically manage large and small projects. A key advantage is that the methodology is general and applicable to all project types and specializations and is the most widespread standard.
The certification is intended for:
- Junior and senior project staff
- Managers responsible for the implementation of strategic goals
- All project team members, including the client
- Consultants implementing the methodology (project management principles)
The PRINCE2 Foundation course is suitable for all team members who wish to participate (directly or indirectly) in a successful project implementation.
Certificate
The validity of the PRINCE2 Foundation certificate is for 3 years even if the methodology is updated.
The certificate is issued in English, irrespective of the language in which the PRINCE2 Foundation exam is taken. It does not specify the individual’s score in the final test. The certificate is often used as an official confirmation of a successful completion of education by project managers for public procurement.
PRINCE2 Practitioner
The course is the second certification level of the PRINCE2 methodology and is designed for managers who already hold the PRINCE2 Foundation certificate.
The PRINCE2 Practitioner is the advanced certificate of the PRINCE2 project management methodology. During a 2-day training course, you will learn how to apply this methodology in a project management environment based on the specific requirements of different projects.
During the course you will:
- Learn how to apply this methodology in a project management environment based on the specific requirements of different projects,
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of principles, processes and topics in project environments and the relationships between them,
- Learn how to manage time, budgets, quality, and eliminate risks,
- Learn and be able to adopt 7 principles, processes, and topics,
- Gain a detailed practical knowledge of PRINCE2,
- Learn to solve problems in projects using the most successful methodology.
Who is this certification intended for?
The course is suitable for project managers of all levels and for people who are not yet working as project managers, but would like to start working in this area.
Candidates for the PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification must hold one of the following qualifications:
- PRINCE2 Foundation
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
- IPMA Level A (Certified Project Director)
- IPMA Level B (Certified Senior Project Manager)
- IPMA Level C (Certified Project Manager)
- IPMA Level D (Certified Project Management Associate)
Certificate
This certificate is valid for 2 years after which project managers must renew it. When renewing the certificate, they can either take the complete PRINCE2 Practitioner exam or the short version.
