Drones are saving the lives!

11/10/16

Usage of drones in emergency and life threating situation is becoming more and more popular. Recently the police in Minnesota has conducted a successful mission and found the man who stacked in swampy area. Spotting him in between the bushes from the helicopter would be way harder and time consuming. Drones equipped with high resolution cameras or thermal-mapping sensors can quickly examine large and remote areas which might be not accessible for other rescue entities. Those characteristics make them enormously effective in case of searching survivors within areas affected by natural disaster. Drones are also supporting firefighters by monitoring the situation and providing them with on time data crucial for appropriate action to be taken to put out the flames. Further usage of drones for life saving purposes is supported thanks to the international competition UAE Drones for Good organized by the government of the United Arab Emirates.
