Asides from their military and commercial capabilities, drones are becoming a popular toy for both hobbyists and children – because flight is fun! Drones now meet probably the best known toy brand in the world: Lego. The startup Flybrix has released a drone kit for Legos, marketed for kids 14 and up, which makes building a drone easier than ever. Being Legos, the kit allows kids to create some pretty strange flying creations without soldering and engineering. Just plop what fits on the bricks holding the propellers, and as long as it doesn’t weigh the object down too much, you will be able to fly it. The drone easily connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth and is easily repairable.
