Drones have helped tax authorities in Spain to uncover over 1.69 million homes not complying with tax law in the last two years. That is approximately 8.9% of all homes in the respective municipalities. Satellite powered drones were used to cross check properties with their tax returns to validate their details. This unprecedented investigation resulted in a property tax revenue increase of 1.3 billion Euros in Spain.
