Harvard Business Review view believe in drones

07/07/16

Harvard Business Review has published an article on how drones will impact the way we make business. The magazine believes that the drone market will surge to nearly $7 billion by 2020 globally. This growth will be mainly stimulated by continuously decreasing component costs, regulatory clarification and an ongoing innovation that links drone capabilities to big-data analytics.

The article confirms that today the majority of the commercial drone usage is linked more to photography or film making. On the other hand, new applications are being created, that are able to use drone’s precision, convenience or cost advantage, making it possible to compete with satellites and helicopters. Industries that will be mostly changed by those solutions are oil and gas, mining transportation and construction.
