An amphibious drone has been designed to absorb trash in harbors and along shorelines before it drift out to sea. The drone also collects data including water quality, depth and weather with real time transmission. The drone will be able to use this data to optimize its future routes to maximize efficiency. The first prototype of such a drone is being tested, but it is not intended to be the final product. The entrepreneur sees this as a first step to creating a massive drone that will absorb half a ton of garbage at a time and run on solar power. The current small version is being manufactured and tested in the Netherlands.
