This year, the inaugural Drone Grand Prix took place in Dubai and in June 2017 it is coming to London, to the iconic Alexandra Palace. In the UK there is a huge population of people interested in drone flights, both as pilots and spectator, and thus the races are coming to London soon. Race participants will be piloting drones through a series of LED hopes and obstacles inside the Alexandra Palace. The Palace itself has not only a rich history, but also incredibly interesting spaces for drones to race – from concert halls to ice rings. The organizers are now working on assessing how many people they can fit inside and how many people can actually watch the race. As the competition will be held during the time when 2017 London Tech Week takes place as well, it is expected to attract attention of many tech-enthusiasts.
