Last month the Federal Aviation Administration proposed a four-tiered classification system with diverse rules for how drones should interact with crowds. On the other hand, people are more worried about the technologies impact on personal privacy.
It is why the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has developed a voluntary best practices guide to address privacy, transparency and accountability issues relating to private and commercial use of drones. The document was created with the involvement of various stakeholders such as drone companies, consumer privacy groups and news organizations. Despite the guide being not specific, it’s the first step towards describing what is a good drone behaviour.
