Fast-food delivery system being tested at Virginia Tech

X, a subsidiary company of Alphabet, is testing a Chipotle aerial burrito delivery system at Virginia Tech. At this point, the delivery system will not be available to the public. The test is part of a project to create a delivery system that is based on autonomously piloted drones. At this stage, the project is focused on delivering small packages over a small area with the help of a drone operator. The news comes one week after Dominos delivered its first pizza via drone in a publicized test.
