Robots controlled by human brain

23/11/16

American scientists developed a drone which is controlled by a human brain. The discussion about robots controlled simply by brain activity is out there for quite a while, but now the technology came into existence. There is still an area for improvement, as the robots can be rather supported by the brain, not completely controlled, but it can soon become possible too. The concept works thanks to a special high-tech “swimmer’s cap” equipped with electrodes which detect brainwaves. The electrodes redirect the signal that originates from human brain to the robot via Bluetooth. The pilot can direct the drone into certain direction. Trials to control a whole fleet of drones at once are also being conducted.

The whole concept sounds amazing and interesting, but also causes numerous concerns, and people do not feel completely comfortable with that idea. The technology is already there, so let’s see how it will evolve in the future.
