As clients, we usually think that delivery drones will only decrease the delivery time. For companies on the other hand, the drone technology can also mean overcoming huge costs caused by the delivery distance on infrequent routes. An example can be Royal Mail which is struggling to offer its universal services across the whole country. The main issues are connected with the daily rural deliveries, which it is legally obliged to.

In order to tackle the issues, the company has started to tests drones. “I don’t think it is going to be to every single address, I think it is going to work in more remote places where you don’t have to deliver too much,” said the CEO of Royal Mail Ms Greene.
