Drone operations support UK police

Police forces in Devon and Cornwall are planning to create 24-hour drone unit. Flying devices will be used to help officers to investigate crimes, search for missing people and monitor roads accidents.

According to the UK police gathering pictures and information by drones would be more cost effective than helicopters. What is more drones are able to obtain pictures from hard to reach and dangerous areas which ensures new safety standards for officers.

However opponents emphasize that drone operations might affect the privacy of citizens and result in potential job cuts in police forces.
