Drones in solar farms

01/03/17 | Tags: Business,  SocialInnovations

Thanks to the decrease in solar panels prices companies started to look for the new technologies to develop the solar power plants market. New softwares, sensors and use of drones allow them to cut costs and in the near future to be able to compete with fossil fuel power.

Drones support companies by mapping areas and helping to design solar power plant. They collect data from the sky and with the use of softwares they allow engineers to plan a location of solar panels faster and with a wider range of information.

However many companies have doubts about the advantages of using drones. They emphasize that technologies are still in the experimental phase and are not affordable.
