Recently Walmart introduced drones in order to transport shopping around the store. The company has been granted a patent when it comes to utilizing drones for moving goods from one department to another and delivering it directly to the customers.

In reality the worker receives a request from the client and plan drone operations for particular item. Drones thanks to GPS and 3D mapping are able to move around the store, locate needed item and delivery it to customer. As Walmart emphasizes this solution is fully safe since drones will fly over shelves and will be equipped with sensors to identify possible obstacles on the way. For clients drone technology will result in enhancing their customers experience by saving time and limiting trips around giant supermarkets.
