PwC Foundation: Programmes: Pro bono services

One of the Foundation’s priorities is its co-operation with non-governmental organizations which carry out programmes to counteract social marginalization.

Continuing the projects we have undertaken to date, we would like to support NGOs with our direct knowledge and experience relating to advisory. We trust that this will help improve the effectiveness and quality of their activities and thus more effectively counteract social marginalization.
That is why we have decided to extend our engagement by providing Pro Bono Services which are free of charge or for a nominal fee. These are provided by our employees during working hours.

By combining knowledge of the local market and our wide international experience, our specialists are able to provide non-governmental organizations with their expertise in assurance, accountancy and tax advisory.

Each of us may devote up to 3 hours per month on activities for non-governmental organizations.
In the first half of 2008, we have already spent over 1500 hours on voluntary work. This translates into over 9 months of the normal work of one person.

Currently this intitiative is in its pilot stage, and we are cooperating with organizations that have been our partners since the foundation’s outset. These include: Powiślańska Fundacja Społeczna; Federacja Reintegracji Społecznej; Gdańska Fundacja Innowacji Społecznej; Forum Darczyńców; Fundacji Batorego; Federacji Banków Żywności and Fundacja Robinsona Crusoe.
